The program
We offer you a 5-year program to work as a healthcare professional directly with one of the best health care institutions in the Netherlands! Join our program and we will help you on your journey to become a registered nurse in the country of cheese and tulips!

As part of the benefits of working in the Netherlands, you will work only 36 hours per week and enjoy 20-25 days of paid holidays.​

Sign up for our free courses on Dutch language and culture while you are still in your home country. We have the best teachers. With the continuous support by your own OTTO job coach, we guide you through the process and help you prepare the required documents. Don't worry, we arrange your residence and work permit free of charge. Once you have passed the Dutch language B1-exam, OTTO books a ticket to the Netherlands for you!

To the Netherlands
Flight and transportation to your new home is completely taken care of by us. We also make sure you have a warm welcome, to make you feel right at home in our country.

After your arrival in The Netherlands, our Onboarding Team will welcome you and bring you to your new home. During our onboarding program, we give you a soft landing; we will take you to all necessary appointments, such as the municipality for registration, the bank to open a new account and the immigration department to receive your work and residence permit. Besides, we like to show you the nicest spots in town and best places to buy your groceries. The Dutch love Asian food, and you'll find many Asian restaurants and supermarkets across the Netherlands. Whether dining out or cooking at home, you can easily enjoy a variety of authentic Asian flavors.​

Housing & Integration
We ensure quality accommodation for you. So you will have good housing from the first day that you arrive. In addition, we help you integrate into your new living environment. We will share tips like where to find supermarkets and pharmacies or a gym. We will also show you how to use public transport.

Your license
You will be able to obtain your license as a registered nurse in the Netherlands and work independently within 8 – 12 months. You will have access to a wide variety of free courses and trainings to level up your medical, technological and other professional skills. OTTO together with the healthcare institution will offer you a personal development plan to create your international nursing journey.​

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Nursing​
  • Registered Nurse​ in your own country​
  • Minimum of 2 years of recent experience, ideally in a Joint Commission accredited hospital, but those from high-quality non-accredited hospitals will also be considered. (For Nurse Requirement)​
  • Experience in a hospital with at least 100 beds. (For Nurse Requirement)​
  • English intermediate level (At least B1 level)​ ​
  • Highly committed to the program, eager to study a new language and learn about different cultures​
  • Confident and not afraid to make mistakes, proactive and extrovert attitude​
  • High motivation and clear vision of one's own personal future goals​
  • Excellent communication skills, honest and open​
  • Resilient, flexible and with adaptability skills​
  • Have family support​
